Stocks, trades, catalyst, dividends

Stocks are defined as a unit of ownership within a company, an example of a stock would be you could invest in a Target stock. When you trade a stock is when you invest in one and trade it in for another one, for an example I could trade my Target stock for a Walmart stock. Catalyst can be described as something that sets off a peak in stock prices, like during Christmas time LG stocks increase immensely. Dividends are an amount that you get back from the taxes of the company you invested in, after Target recieves their tax return I would get a part of them.
